Open the official Islamabad Excise & Taxation (MTMIS) portal, enter the vehicle’s registration number (and date of registration if asked), and submit. You’ll see the registration status and dates, make and model, the registered owner’s name and the city — free. You can also send the registration number by SMS to 8521 to receive the basic details.

It confirms the registration record, but it does not reliably show whether the car carries an open bank loan or lease, whether the ownership chain was ever completed, or whether the documents themselves are genuine and the engine and chassis numbers match the actual car. Those questions need the physical file examined. CarOK does not currently offer paid document verification for Islamabad (ICT) registrations — we offer it for Punjab-registered vehicles — so for an ICT car, ask the seller to produce the original file and have it checked before you pay.
